Browser versions
This site has been designed to be viewed in DOM-compliant browsers. Examples of such browsers are listed below. If you would like to update your browser, click one of the following links:
- Internet Explorer (version 5 or higher) – download the latest version of Internet Explorer
- Safari – download the latest version of Safari
- Firefox – download the latest version of Firefox
Printing
To print a page on this site, first click the 'Printable version' link in the top right-hand corner of the page. Then send the page to your printer by clicking your browser's 'Print' button.
Downloading files
In order to access certain file types you may have to download software.
PDF files
Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) files are usually electronic versions of printed documents that can be downloaded from websites, sent via email and printed on most printers.
If your browser does not have an existing PDF plug-in, you will need to install Acrobat reader software on your computer. This application is small, easy to install and available free from the Adobe website.

Video files
Digital video files on the Wellcome Trust website will normally be QuickTime movie files. To view movie files, QuickTime needs to be installed on your computer. The plug-in is available free from the Apple website.

Flash and Shockwave files
Macromedia Flash and Shockwave files add interactivity to parts of the Wellcome Trust website. The FlashPlayer plug-in may already be included in your browser; if not, both Shockwave and FlashPlayer are available free from the Macromedia website.
